Frequently asked questions
Who qualifies for invoice factoring in Montréal?
Invoice Factoring in Montréal is typically available to incorporated or registered businesses operating in Québec with consistent business banking activity. Convert outstanding B2B invoices into immediate cash. Approval is based on customer creditworthiness.
What is the typical funding amount and speed?
Typical range is $30K–$50M, funded in 5–10 business days to set up; 24h per invoice after after a complete file. Final amount depends on revenue, time in business, and use of funds.
Is invoice factoring regulated differently in Québec?
Québec has no PPSA. Hypothecs and other rights on movable property are published in the Register of personal and movable real rights (RDPRM), and a hypothec counts against third parties only once it is published. A business can hypothecate its equipment, accounts receivable and inventory kept for sale. Selling a pool of present or future receivables to a factor counts against your customers and third parties once the assignment is registered at the RDPRM (Civil Code of Québec, art. 1642). Since June 1, 2023, a standard-form contract offered to a business in Québec must first be given in French. The parties can be bound by another language version only after that, if they expressly choose it, and no fee can be charged for the French version.
