Grants and government funding for Canadian businesses
This page lists federal and Quebec programs that small businesses use, with each program's type, intake status and official page, checked on 8 October 2026. Most programs pay only a share of a project, often 50%, and many pay after the costs are incurred. Voxen does not prepare grant applications: it finances the business's share, and the wait.

Where Voxen fits
A grant that covers half a project still leaves the other half, and a program that reimburses after costs are paid leaves the business to front its own share and the program's until the money arrives.
Voxen arranges financing for that gap with its existing products: a line of credit, a bridge loan, a term loan, equipment financing or invoice factoring. Each is assessed on the business's revenue and file like any other application. The grant is not used as security.
Recently closed or ended
Several programs that still appear in search results and older articles are closed. Their status as of 8 October 2026:
- CanExport SMEs: Closed. Intake ended at noon ET on 31 August 2026, and the program page says applications are not being accepted. The next intake has not been confirmed.
- Canada Digital Adoption Program (CDAP): Ended. Its Boost Your Business Technology stream stopped taking applications on 19 February 2024. No replacement was found.
- Productivité innovation (Investissement Québec): Ended. Investissement Québec lists it as finished. Its successor, grand V, is a term loan with technology coaching and a $250,000 minimum loan.
- Canada Summer Jobs 2026: Closed. The 2026 window ran from 4 November to 11 December 2025. The 2027 dates have not been announced.
- Quebec R&D salary tax credit: Replaced by the CRIC for tax years beginning after 25 March 2025.
- Commerce-Montréal renovation grants: Ended.
The government's own program search
The Government of Canada's Business Benefits Finder matches a business against more than 1,500 federal, provincial and territorial programs. It costs nothing to use, and it covers far more programs than this page does.

Frequently asked questions
Is Voxen a government agency?
No. Voxen Capital is a private financing broker based in Montreal. It does not run, decide or influence any government program.
Can Voxen get my business a grant?
No. Only the program decides who receives a grant, and no one can promise one. Voxen does not prepare grant applications. It can arrange financing for the share of a project your business pays, and for the wait until a program pays.
Why would a business with a grant need financing?
Because most programs pay a share of a project, often 50%, and many pay after the costs are incurred. The business still has to fund its own share and, often, carry the whole cost until the program pays.
How current is this list?
Every program fact was checked against its official page on 8 October 2026. Programs change, so check the official page before you apply.
