How it pays
The employer hires the person and pays the wage. The subsidy covers a percentage of that wage, up to the level of minimum wage, so any pay above minimum wage is always the employer's cost.
The candidate has to come through Services Québec. The official page is titled financial assistance for hiring a person to integrate into a job durably, which is the program's purpose: keeping the person employed, not filling a short gap.
Funding your share while you wait
Payroll goes out every week or two from the first day. Whatever the subsidy percentage turns out to be, the business carries the full payroll cycle and the part above minimum wage.
A line of credit smooths that cycle. If the business invoices customers on 30 to 60 day terms, invoice factoring can turn those invoices into payroll money. Voxen assesses either on revenue and bank statements.

| Financing | Range | What it covers here |
|---|---|---|
| Line of Credit | Credit Limit: $10,000 – $1,000,000 | Working capital while you wait for a reimbursement or a refund. Draw what the project needs, pay it down when the money arrives. |
| Invoice Factoring | Facility Size: $30,000 – $50,000,000 | Cash from unpaid customer invoices, when slow-paying customers are what makes the wait hard. |
