Energy upgrade programs for Quebec businesses
Quebec businesses upgrading energy systems have three programs to look at: Hydro-Québec's Solutions efficaces for business-rate customers, the provincial ÉcoPerformance program for energy transition projects, and Écocamionnage for trucking fleets. All three pay part of a project, so the business funds the rest and usually pays its contractors before the program pays.

The programs
Type and status come from each program's official page, checked on 8 October 2026. The Quebec pages are in French.
The rules moved recently. Hydro-Québec's small business guide was updated on 31 March 2026. ÉcoPerformance has run under new rules since 7 July 2026, and its mechanical-system tune-up stream has been closed since 1 September 2026.
With Hydro-Québec, the customer always pays at least 10% of eligible costs, plus anything the guide does not count as eligible.

The financing that covers the gap
An energy upgrade is a capital purchase. The new system, the installation and the contractor's bill come first; any assistance is settled under the program's rules.
Equipment financing pays for the equipment itself and spreads its cost over its useful life. A term loan suits a wider renovation, and a line of credit covers the smaller costs in between. Voxen assesses each on the business's revenue and bank statements, not on the program file.
The Voxen products that fit this program. Ranges are the ones on each product page; every file is assessed on the business's revenue and bank statements.
| Financing | Range | What it covers here |
|---|---|---|
| Equipment Financing | Equipment Value: $10,000 – $5,000,000 | The equipment itself, whether a machine, a truck or a heating system, financed against that equipment. |
| Term Loan | Loan Amount: $10,000 – $2,000,000 | Your share of a larger project, repaid in fixed instalments over several years. |
| Line of Credit | Credit Limit: $10,000 – $1,000,000 | Working capital while you wait for a reimbursement or a refund. Draw what the project needs, pay it down when the money arrives. |
